In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Special arms
- Survey Corps steed
Latest Free Story Update
This update also adds the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma."
